@NishantBangera1 @MetroRailThane Mumbai monorial was pushed as a last-mile service. It's a spectacular failure. Building Thane Ring Metro on a similar hypothesis will see a similar decline.

A 2023 report by IIT Delhi shows that metro travel is viable for trips over 10-15 km, whereas 75% of all daily trips in Indian cities are under 5 km. When this is the case, is heavy investment in a metro system the right option for Thane?

3,000+ trees have been marked for cutting or transplanting, for the Thane ring metro project. All this at a time when Thane City increasingly faces heat stress!! TMC's Heat Action Plan 2024 acknowledges the risk.
