Around 300 schoolchildren from Chandupur in Hamirpur, Uttar Pradesh, along with parents, marched nearly 6 km to the district magistrate’s office. Carrying Indian flags, they protested the muddy, waterlogged road that becomes impassable in rains, dirtying uniforms and disrupting school access. Police stopped them at the gate after an unfulfilled promise for a proper paved route.
