Earlier this year, I urged the Prime Minister to support a Final Investment Decision for @sizewellc.
This week, the Government gave its approval.
This is a nationally significant project, one which will create 1,000s of jobs for local people and billions for our local economy.
I thank National Highways for their hard work in completing these difficult repairs ahead of schedule.
However, the end of these works will only be a temporary respite.
The Suffolk Conservatives must now deliver on their promise for a Northern Bypass.

The traffic chaos we have suffered in recent weeks has brought into sharp focus the cost of inaction.
These major upgrades to the A12 show our Labour Government and I are getting on with the job and delivering for Ipswich and Suffolk.

It was great to be given a tour around Ipswich's latest affordable housing project.
The transformation of the former BT building site has delivered 150 new homes for local people.

1⃣ I've had the honour of being Ipswich's MP for one year.
While there remains a lot of work ahead, we can be proud of the progress we've made
Here are some of the things I've been able to deliver alongside our Labour Government, and with partners here in Ipswich and Suffolk 👇
I was out and about in Westgate with @artoflabour and @IpswichLabour this morning.
As well as talking to local residents, we popped into the jumble sale at the Ipswich Community Church Centre.
We had some great conversations with people who really loved their community.
In the early hours of 5th July 2024, I became the Member of Parliament for Ipswich.
I felt immense pride and gratitude, but I also felt enormous responsibility too.
I promised leadership, unity and ambition, and have worked every day in the year since to fulfil that commitment.
🌹 Well, friends, you did.
One year on and we are seeing those green shoots coming through in Ipswich, and across the country.
I am proud of the progress we have made so far, but I know there is a lot of hard work ahead of us.
A good start, with more to come.
