Algo que nunca deja de impresionarme de Trump es que maneja un nivel de frontalidad que desconcierta a todo potencial chupamedias proveniente de las derechas con pretendida altura moral e institucional.

Me refiero a esos que se pasaron toda la mañana diciendo que el petróleo no importaba, que el planteo sobre los recursos naturales era de quienes "están anclados en el siglo xx" y no entendían esta época, que lo que estaba en juego era la libertad de Venezuela, que hablar de imperialismo era usar categorías obsoletas y no sé que otra justificación.

Primeros 5 minutos de conferencia y Trump solito sacó el asunto del petróleo y anunció que su Gobierno se va a hacer cargo de los cambios en la política de explotación y exportación petrolera para habilitar la entrada de capitales estadounidenses.

Después desacreditó a María Corina Machado como posible líder del proceso de transición, negó que tengan contemplado elecciones en el corto plazo porque no pueden "arriesgarse a que gane otro Maduro" y confirmó que su intención es que Estados Unidos gobierne Venezuela, así directo.

Hasta insinuó un posible acuerdo con Delcy Rodríguez, personaje fundamental en el esquema político de Maduro, siempre y cuando se cumplan las condiciones anteriores.

Incluso elogió la doctrina Monroe que habilitaba al control de EE.UU. de todo el continente americano como un derecho natural hace 100 años y se permitió hacer el chiste de que se viene la "doctrina Donroe".

Sin tapujos, dejó pedaleando en el aire a todos aquellos que intentaron darle un marco teórico distinto al que el propio Trump quiere instalar: el del bully pendenciero que hace lo que quiere porque tiene el poder. Esa es la categoría en la que el presidente yanqui quiere ser visto. Por eso escala y empieza a amenazar a otros países.

El único sujeto legitimado por él mismo para discutir en su nombre es el símil libertario de Twitter que sale a decir "lloralo kuka" o "lágrimas de zurdo".

En la frase "Estados Unidos podrá imponer su voluntad en cualquier lugar y en cualquier momento", dicha también en la conferencia de hoy, está el verdadero fondo de la cuestión.

Si el propio Trump no lo esconde, el intento de hacerlo de los exégetas improvisados solo va camino al fracaso.

🚨 THE U.S. GOVERNMENT IS NOW GIVING “AIRPORT DRESS CODES”

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy rolled out a new “air civility” message and some of the quotes are wild.

He says holiday travelers should “dress with some respect” because it “encourages us to behave better.”

He warns against wearing pajamas and slippers to the airport and says people should wear “a pair of jeans and a decent shirt.”

He even says if you’re “a little stronger or a little buffer, you’ve been lifting” you should stand up and help strangers put their bags in the overhead bin.

Duffy says better outfits = better behavior, and Americans should show “gratitude” to TSA, pilots, and gate agents while traveling this season.

Now the internet is melting down with some say he’s right, others say the government has no business telling people how to dress.
