More than 50 natural water springs have dried. #ClimateCrisis and water mismanagement have caused that in the #Iraqi western desert 🏜. For 100 of years, these springs were feeding many villages and bedouins in Iraq. Imagine the consequences of that on people and nature.

It was like a heaven, Mr Mahdi, a farmer in his 82 said. It's a spring in the desert surrounded by gardens of palm trees, grapes, figs and pomegranates. More than 30 acres of wheat, barley and rice. Now, it's salty and not even enough for few plam trees.
