Eid Mubarak to all our beloved tenants, families, and friends! IRCOM hopes your celebrations are filled with love, laughter, and lots of delicious food!
A big thank you to John Black Memorial United Church for their generous donation of quilts to us. Your kindness and compassion make a difference in the lives of newcomers in our community.
An unforgettable day filled with gratitude and victories! Three IRCOM teams playing in the final were a joy to witness! Congratulations to our U15 Girls and U16 Boys for their achievements, and a big thank you to all three teams for giving it their all this season.
After receiving a donation of lovely handmade doll clothes, Ngakan, from our Child Care Program, held up this little BIPOC Barbie with her new outfit on and smiled as she said “it looks like mommy.” This is why we do what we do! 💛💪

This beautiful mosaic hangs proudly in the halls of IRCOM Isabel. It was created by our tenants and local artist Dimitry Melman Komas to celebrate IRCOM's 30th anniversary. Dimitry asked our tenants, "What does IRCOM mean to you?"

Last month, IRCOM staff attended a workshop run by Turtle Island Project, which was an action-oriented, experiential exercise designed to change uninformed perceptions of Indigenous Peoples and engage in reconciliatory action. Truth and reconciliation begins with each of us. 🧡

Drocella has always been a caregiver for children. At IRCOM, parents/children call her "Mama Drocella"! Before working w/ us, she was a tenant at IRCOM for 3 years. She joined our team to help newcomers such as she was, to settle into the place that she still calls "home". 💛💪
#IRCOMInAction is back today to introduce another member of our team, Drocella! Drocella has been working at IRCOM for over 4 years as a Child Care Assistant with our Child Care Program (CCP). She was born in Rwanda and came to Canada in 2015. 🇨🇦 Read more below:
