With all the light/dark symbolism, I think it's interesting that Balram adopts the image of the white tiger, a creature iconic for the striking contrast of its light fur striped with dark. A nice visual representation of Balram's own nebulous relationship with morality. #LUAWL

Balram is the White Tiger and even Ashok is The Lamb in Balram's head. It's as if Adiga is saying, "No matter how great we think ourselves, we are all animals." #LUAWL
