“Couldn’t waterboard this out of me”
And it’s a cautionary tale from a woman who had been mistreated.
“I’d have taken this to the grave”
But your mad your mum didn’t warn you about men from her experience
“Bring back shame”
And it’s just a story of a woman’s sexual experience.
When women share their experiences of how poorly men treated them and put them in situations that they weren’t yet equipped to deal with, I always say “ thank you for so much for being vulnerable. I learned something”.
Because shame is used to silence us from exposing men.
Women in the 70’s used to pose in magazines FULL BUSH bussin out the sides of their bikinis and it was seen as sensual, grown, and sexy. Now yall saying a baby bush bussin out the bikini makes them look like they stink..?
Western Europeans travelled the world and every time they encountered someon or something gentle or curious they killed it. Deadass sailed around the world making life worse for everyone.
Lauryn Hill once said, “Everybody wants to know where you’re going to, ’cause they wanna come or so they think , until they find the cost of it. Until they find out what you lost for it.” If that ain’t the truth. Ppl romanticise your becoming, but couldn’t stomach your unbecoming
Meeting people who immediately list all their accolades and seem to be waiting for you to do the same like oh no thank you I’m actually not defined by arbitrary accomplishments and prefer to focus on alignment via shared interests and values
I love a woman that wears bangles, waist beads, anklets, as many rings as she can, and dangly earrings, I love the idea of your body singing when you come to me.
