He's not joking. You will start seeing them around 5pm and it won't be over until well after 10pm.
And you can see them all without changing locations.
To any of our international guests that are planning on being in or around Los Angeles on July 4th, go to the highest spot you can find and look towards east LA.
Crack a bottle. Have a picnic. You will run out of food and drink before they run out of explosives.
@MarkGDuncan1@mehdirhasan Dude. Read that entire post again. If you can't figure out in two seconds that it's utter bullshit, you need to just disqualify yourself.
@EnforcerNo0@tacjak@iCON_Riot I have been playing Marathon since the day after it dropped and I assure you...it's a LOT of dads. Hell, the main Discord community is literally called "Dads of Marathon"
I was in high school when the Halo games dropped, and Marathon is much more 'for me' than Destiny was.
I played Destiny 2 for six years.
I'm having a lot more fun playing Marathon. Just a totally different experience if what you love is squad focused PvP in an FPS.
@pdubyaa@hailmarysportss@PFF Don't even bother trying to cancel if you're on auto-renew. I emailed them the day I got billed and was told flat out 'no'.
@TheDsIEGE@TheNovaPlayss Dude if you think there are >10,000 people who have a principled stance on Myelin setting some videos to private that out shadows everything else going on with Destiny/Marathon...
I'm just being real. Let the dude be upset. He has every right.
@TheDsIEGE@TheNovaPlayss The people who will get angry enough at Myelin over this were NEVER going to play Marathon. Maybe not all of them, but at least 90% of that group.
@TheDsIEGE@TheNovaPlayss How is he hurting Marathon? Are we to believe that all of the hate the game was already getting is a mirage, but this guy who most of the D2 community claims to not even know is the one who'll truly poison the well?
You can't be rabidly intolerant and then start pointing fingers
The more I dig into the Destiny v. Marathon discourse, it becomes clear that a lot of this boils down to "PvE and PvP players are discovering in real time that they secretly hate each other."
And ya know what? That is totally ok. Let's all just respect each other's differences.
@lucentbeam But yeah, I fault no one for not being into this game. As long as you're not rooting against the people who actually like it.
Maybe that's why I'm defensive of it. In under two months of playing, I have added 50+ people to my friend list in the game. It MAKES you work together.
@lucentbeam I get that 1000%. I go back to Halo CE as well. Honestly, the first week of Marathon was rough, but the gunplay kept me in long enough to where I started earning legit rewards for my progression. I'm still not great at it, but it's giving me exactly what I want from a modern FPS.
@lucentbeam Sorry, I wasn't trying to be combative. But hearing the same thing over and over again is tiring.
My timeline is spammed with people saying that destroying Marathon is the only way to get Bungie/Sony to open their eyes and make D3. And that's the POLITE version.
@BudgetKilla@MacticsG1 Cool. And to be clear, the feelings you are referring to are...me not caring?
I'm talking about a videogame and the community around it, and you are litigating the virtues of business...
Clearly neither of us is interested in the conversation the other is having.
@BudgetKilla@MacticsG1 Brother Destiny and Marathon can both die today and I'll be fine. But I've only had the desire to boot up one of them this year...and I uninstalled the other one months ago.
@MGecko117 This is, without question, the silliest take.
You're saying Marathon fans' punishment will be meeting the same fate Destiny fans have???
OH NOOOO. A beloved, 12-year IP that was so enthralling that a literal cult is waging a goddamn twitter war over it!
What a nightmare.
