@united the strangest thing happened yesterday on UA2417. The attendant asked “pretzels or cookie” and I politely asked her if I could have both. I enjoy a sweet with my savory, and this has never ever been an issue. She rudely responded no & said “if we have any left - maybe”…

I’d love to hear from @united and get this explanation because I think there’s something deeper here than a finite amount of cookies, but really seems like an infinite amount of racism…

Tennessee Valley Authority's Browns Ferry nuclear plant is one building containing three powerful reactors.

It makes steady, carbon-free power for 3 million people for the incomprehensibly low production cost of $15 per MWh in 2021.

It was built for an inflation-adjusted 2023-$ cost of $1260/kW, long since paid off, and half the cost of today's cheapest Chinese plants.

It runs on 24-month refueling cycles for extreme uptime and thus lower costs.

It has been running for almost 50 years, will last for many more decades, and in the end may not need to ever retire because the reactor vessels are doing well and that's pretty much the only part we haven't yet successfully replaced in a nuclear plant.

TVA is socialism, so it's the American people's wealth that is stacking up here.

This may be the finest energy project in the world.
