That's not even remotely how this works. You'd be buying a certain hard drive size anyway as a one time expense, and long term storage requirements are not affected due to pruning as we already established. Bandwidth costs are a fixed ISP fee every month that won't change because of ordinals, sync time is a minor one time event and more importantly not an ongoing cash expense. It's very obvious that you're on a very weird mission to invent a problem and inflate numbers for people who have no clue how any of this works. The costs and efforts incurred by this cringe & bizarre psychological operation you people are duped by exceeds the virtually non existing costs of ordinals to node operators by orders of magnitude.

To summarize, why the ordinals impact is so minimal:

- Most users have fixed broadband plans: Residential internet plans typically include 1-2 TB of data per month, far exceeding what Bitcoin nodes use.

- Ordinals are bandwidth-efficient: Despite concerns, ordinals only add about 17.5 GB per month to the blockchain - a negligible amount for modern connections.

- Pruned nodes eliminate storage costs: Most node operators run pruned nodes that don't store historical witness data, eliminating ongoing storage costs.

- Ordinals isn't a major cost hindrance for running a full node. While they add data, the average block size hovers around 1.6 MB as of early 2026 despite the 4 MB theoretical maximum.

- The actual financial impact of ordinals on node operators is minimal - virtually zero for residential users with standard broadband plans.
