Great move by @X on re-branding.
It didn’t come as a shocking surprise to many people that the brand / corporate identity changed.
All the pump / pride / ego that goes with designers / branding agency removed from the equation. Brand polarity or recognition achieved.

2) Typical rule book is that “designers” make codified workshops and lots of ceremony towards the end of making vector diagrams that eventually becomes the logo. But that’s not what happened here. Faster result by open-sourcing / crowdsourcing the design effort.
