Barron's Bakery started baking bread in Cappoquin in 1887. Today they still use the same Scotch Brick Ovens to bake their crusty bread, the bread is proved slowly and naturally and the loaves are shaped by hand. #bakery #waterford #oldstyle

Great news for the Irish Bakery trade!
The Department of Enterprise Trade and Employment have approved our submission to remove the position of Baker from the Ineligible Occupations List . This means Bakers from outside EU can now apply for jobs in Ireland. #bakery #irishbakery

Set snugly in the shadow of the West Gate in Clonmel, Co Tipperary, Hickey’s Bakery is as much a part of the town’s history as the old arch itself. Originally established in the 1900s, the store has been home to no less than four generations of Hickey bakers.

Keoghs Model Bakery set in the quiet town of Callan Co. Kilkenny. Billy Keogh makes old style Cobs and Grinders along with sliced pans, rolls and confectionery.
One of the oldest bakeries in the country, Keoghs Model Bakery was started in 1838 in the same premises in Callan.
