@ConstanzaCade Completely agree, when the cheese touch (papist Apostolic succession) becomes a idol for some it should be rejected so long as the Word grants us liberty to do so
The LCMS president is very limited in what he can do. He cannot make people go to your local church, but you in fact have to bring people with you and have kids if you'd like it to grow.
@RomanoSace57080@StayRight239 I am a little taken aback by the current obsession with Jansen in Rome amongst the chronically online youth. It seems strange to idolise a man considered a heretic by the church for so long.

โVincent of Lerins has rightly defined that that is catholic which has always, everywhere, and by all alike been observed. Therefore whatever has been declared catholic [universal] for the whole church of Christ...must absolutely have either a word or an example of Christ and the apostles. When we speak about the catholic or universal church of Christ, we ought not to cut off the Head from its members, that is, Christ from the church... but that is truly catholic for the universal church which can be shown and proved to have been taught or commanded by Christ the Head and observed by the apostles. But when this basis is lacking, not even the consensus of the whole world is sufficient to prove that something is catholic for the church of Christโ

@valorthodoxia Ask an EO whether toll houses are dogmatic or not, now do the same with PSA, transubstantiation, original guilt, creation and the number of ecumenical councils What is it they about those living in glass houses? Drop the slop apologetics pick up a book and have fruitful discourse
@AmerRef1517 Its honestly tiring seeing all these doomer posts. The LCMS is fine with little problems of actual consequence when compared to the messes that exist within denominations similar in size or large. Anglicanism is cooked, Rome is cooked the EOs are cooked. We have a cold.
