And some information on Sifnos island, the island of the «Tselemendes » which means cookbook in modern Greek. The word comes from Nikolaos Tselementes (1878–1958), a famous Greek chef whose highly successful cookbook, published in 1926, made his surname synonymous with a book of recipes.

Komi village is unusual among Cycladic villages because it lies in Livadi, the largest and most fertile plain of Tinos. The surrounding fields have traditionally supplied much of the island’s agricultural produce, particularly its famous artichokes. Every spring the village celebrates the Artichoke Festival, with local recipes, music and dancing.

At the heart of the village stands the Catholic Church of St John (Agios Ioannis). Komi was historically divided into two settlements, each of which once had its own Catholic parish. Today St John remains the seat of the Catholic pastoral unit of Komi.

Mycenea in the Peloponnese is rightly famous but did you know that there is another Mycenean citadel just an hour away?
Tiryns is mentioned in the Iliad as being ‘of the mighty walls’and even today their size and scale is amazing.
Highly atmospheric.

@IrisT_08129 @generat52088719 Τα αχταρικα ποιλουσαν ο, τι μπορούσε να φανταστεί ένα παιδί ότι χρησιμοποιούσε ένας μάγος.
Κεζαπι, υδράργυρο, μπογιές, καραμέλες ακκιντεδες, λουλακι. Μαγικά φίλτρα, πηγαίναμε με τη μαμά.
