@MorosKostas I'm happy that the ATF is doing that. It's super entertaining to watch and I'm glad people in free states are benefiting, but it's hard to feel good about it with the knowledge that none of it will ever help us in california.
@Fishingguy911@2AFDN They'll just ignore it and keep on passing laws, secure in the knowledge that the supreme court will let them stand for 5-10 years with zero consequences.
@CRTC_Nichols@MorosKostas I was just sharing a fun song about the bravery of the open carry people, not sure what sexual orientation has to do with any of it. No wonder your lawlsuit isn't doing so hot.
@robert_kroupa@MorosKostas So it's totally fine if they're violence by any other means, just as long as it's not a gun? The violence numbers for the US are mainly criminals killing other criminals. After you adjust for demographics it comes out more or less even.
@robert_kroupa@MorosKostas It's already illegal to sell guns to felons. You really think that the kind of person who's already ignoring that law is going to suddenly decide to follow a law that says they have to perform a background check first?
@MorosKostas But don't you know, the Republicans will turn California into a christofascist theocracy and start executing the gays in the street if the state slips even a percent below 70% democrat controlled. Can't possibly vote out an anti-gun (D) with numbers like that D:
@tspisak@2Aupdates Not having a way to make it happen didn't stop the state from preventing the sale of constitutionally protected handguns because they lacked microstamping. They could just flat out make owning a 3d printer illegal if they wanted to.
@Mr_Sallykins@Bharm36@reddit_lies In California it's two forms of ID, one with current address (nobody can agree on the exact requirements). 15% of people attempting to purchase ammo (also requires background check) denied over stuff like address or name not matching *exactly* (punctuation and spacing included)
@EvilSecOfficial@nap_ygg@GeoRebekah That's absolutely false. California requires all sales to go through a licensed FFL with background checks and a 10 day waiting period. This means person to person sales are often charged $100 storage fee on top of the background check and FFL fees.
@MorosKostas Did you read the replies to it though? Quite a few gun people insulting lgbt gun owners and thinking that calling the author trans is some kind of dunk. That's not how we get people on our side when it comes to guns :/
