Yes, everyone should learn #CPRandAED. But if we are going to ask people to perform such a brutal task, it’s imperative that we also provide them with the info and resources they need to process it mentally and emotionally. It’s traumatic and life changing.
I don’t know who needs to hear this but telling patients how short staffed your unit is, that you don’t have a CNA or how many patients you have is NOT a violation of HIPAA.
actual nurses: help
y’all: “just scan your meds and don’t override and never work short staffed and never take an unsafe assignment and always triple check everything and be in 5 places at once! it’s simple! she is a criminal. if you can’t handle it don’t be a nurse ☺️”
@Kim_18Van Yeah. CDC changed guidelines because after the first 5 symptomatic days, you’re supposedly no longer contagious. Not so sure about that, but that’s the claim.
We talk a lot about the mass exodus of nurses & on nursing shortages. We don’t talk enough about the mass exodus of CNAs & PCTs & the impacts on quality & timeliness of patient care. CNAs & PCTs have this crucial role in maintaining patient dignity. Without them there is none.
