@Uncle_ShutUp Nothing is wrong. BM are assessing the their SMV, seeing where that value can secure the biggest return, and choosing to invest where they are loved, celebrate, and at the most peace. #SYSBM
@one54africa This is an example of BW's need to "humble"/"get BM told"!! In no universe does an intern level BW offer notes on an Oprah script.
@LordHasan your thoughts?
In April, commercials were filled with jewelry ads reminding everyone to buy gifts for Mother’s Day. When Father’s Day rolls around, fathers rarely get the same recognition. And when they do appear in commercials, it’s usually a hardware store ad telling them to buy a grill.
On Father’s Day, fathers shouldn’t be standing over a grill cooking. They should have their feet up, relaxing, and being appreciated by the family they work so hard to provide for. Many men work two and three jobs to keep a roof over their family’s heads, food on the table, and bills paid, only to be overlooked, disrespected, or treated as if their sacrifices are simply expected.
June is also Men’s Health Month, yet many people don’t even know it exists. That says a lot about how normalized it has become to ignore the struggles, sacrifices, and well-being of men. To all the fathers, husbands, sons, brothers, and hardworking men out there: if nobody has told you lately, you are appreciated. You are valued. Your sacrifices matter. Your presence matters. And the people who love you are blessed to have you.
Can someone explain why white men sit on social media complaining about white women possibly being harmed by black men they date yet they ignore talking about the white men who actually harm white women at a higher number? Seems like as long as they are the ones murdering white women and molesting white children, they don’t experience fatigue!
Weird how they can be outraged and got memes for days about black men but none about themselves?!?
Black women have worse social mobility, get killed, beaten and sexually assaulted by police more, higher child mortality rates, more targeted by the school system, experience homelessness more etc than Black men? That’s news to me tbh
The Black father is asked to produce men strong enough to survive racism, gentle enough to sustain relationships, ambitious enough to build wealth, & humble enough to remain teachable. He is asked to do this without a blueprint, without institutional support nor help
“This is empirically false. First she assumes all sexism towards Blsck.women is misogyny. Benevolent sexism prevents outgroup lethal threats. So this is why you see upward mobility with BW that you do not see with outgroup men. Second, BW do not deal w/misandry or arbitrary set discrimination which means you are not eliminated & marked as alien by dominant group males. Lastly, the feminist argument assumes a separate sex based system applying equally to males and females regardless of race. She offers no evidence of outgroups recognizing Blacks on that basis since we k ow outgroup racial perceptions masculinize targets. Again nice story with little.empirical support.” - A Colleague
When I say Black men should be #Ignoremaxxing, it includes engaging in these conversations, panel discussions, etc.
You can talk your head off all day about your unique experience as a Black man, they do not care.
They see you as an entirely seperate entity.
So should you.
