I hate that the people's narrative is "look at the villains he created," instead of, "why the hell is everyone obsessed with him?"
Obadiah was a PREDATOR before Tony. He used him, manipulated him, and paid goons to kill him out of greed and jealousy.

I love both suits ๐๐ป
I don't get the nanotech suit hate. It's shiny and the legs are so cool, not to mention, USEFUL. The design of BND's suit feels so authentically Spider-man. Classic. Sleek. Amazing.
It's a valid point bringing up that the nanotech was bulletproof, though
This becomes a bigger downgrade when you realize Peter Parker literally survives a sniper shot from The Punisher if heโs still wearing the Nanotech suit
October 30 - Day Two
Discourse between writers and readers worsens. Those who have shared their folders online without author consent bring up an interesting dilemma.
As long as readers show support to the writers, I don't have an issue, but the question is- will they?
October 29 - Day One
Tragedy struck when AO3 went down today.
What we thought was going to be a long 12 hours is now going to be 2-4 weeks. I wasn't prepared- nothing was downloaded. I have 13+ chaptered fics I was reading...
Others have gathered archives. We might have hope.
It's funny that so many comments say the glasses didn't look good on anyone because I think they all rocked them.
Also, I have a pair of EDITH glasses for blue light filtering, and I get compliments every single time I wear them.
@isolated_images We never got Tony's side of what did or didn't happen and only got Beck's, so it's all biased. With Beck's own actions and the way he wanted to use the technology, it makes sense to me that he was seen as unstable and his values no longer aligned with SI.

@Fritz_tamer Discussion and discourse is also human nature. Not everyone has to agree, but by engaging with things and seeing other people's perspectives, people learn and grow. Psychology is fascinating.
@isolated_images I don't see everything he did as fine. He is a flawed character. There's a difference between discussing criticism and misplaced blame. My posts point out that he did very little to "create" these villains he often gets blamed for when they are responsible for their own actions
@emmywayne64 It's also interesting given that this same Steve told his past self that Bucky is alive. I do wonder how the events of TWS & beyond played out in that timeline.
@isolated_images He was showing off tech to young engineers, the future of the industry. You think he is showing mediocre tech for that...? No.
Listen, you don't have to like Tony. Maybe you should look at the facts and dissect why you don't like him?
@Fritz_tamer It's human nature to get passionate about things. For some people, it's sports. For others, it's certain TV shows. The MCU has a huge fan base, so it's natural for commentary to be made and dissected. If you find humor looking down on it, I can't stop you.
@LokmisterisBack Perhaps not mass murder, in his case, but he did try to kill a 16 year old Peter Parker and didn't care where his tech went (mostly to other criminals who easily could have used them for mass murder) so it's not really much better.
I spiritually blame A03 going down for 2-4 weeks on all those nasty people that constantly complain about what fic writers do. You brought us here with your bad juju.
@isolated_images I can't imagine that tech wasn't sold for profit, likely to the medical industry. Tony also has penchant for nicknames even for things he's fond of (looking at Dum-E). Beck turning villain is CLEARLY bc he was unstable, which got him fired to begin with
