Ordinary Sam is extorted for an ability he doesn’t even know he has—the power to predict quantum states. Extraordinary is a thriller packed with pulse-pounding action and razor-sharp banter. #QuestPit#Q#YA#S#T
@_ashleedani I self-published a MG book at 75k words because MG agents said it was too long and YA agent said it was MG content. With MG books like the Sorcerer's Stone and Percy Jackson, being longer, to name a couple, where do you see books like this fitting?
@Chibi_hecate The next time an agent on X opens her self up to questions ask how many queries they get in a year, how fulls they ask for, of those fulls how many do they present to a Publishing House and of those how many get signed. Your chances are over a thousand to one. It's not you.
@SDDonovan I have lots of cool ideas but if I don't know the ending I don't start it. Sometimes I can squeeze a cool idea into an existing work though.
@PJScribbansAuth You know the people who say they just cut 40,000 words from their manuscript? Those are the ones who didn't know the ending before they started. If you don't know the ending it's just a meandering self-indulgent stream of consciousness.
I just posted the new episode of our weekly show! This marks 5 solid years of never missing a single week. I'm pretty proud of us. If you've never watched the show, you should give this one a chance, it's a fun episode.
@AnthonyLaFauci I'm the same way. When you hear about those people lamenting they had to cut 50,000 words from their story, it's because they started without knowing where it was going.
@SDDonovan Yes! I have a small space heater under my desk and it blows up hits the top of the desk and comes out over my retractable keyboard. Best thing ever warm hands all winter!
Certified Pantser here: I'm being forced to write an outline to book 2 of the Extraordinary series, Extraordinary Lineage. The title of the document is: Lineage Outline LOL.
