[Pope Leo XIV @Pontifex]

In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.

this is how to make gork refuse to modify your art on here btw

No one asked, but I kinda wanna give a crash course on how to engage in better media literacy cause i keep seeing posts like this.

The best thing you can do to improve is simple: meet a story where it's at, ideally without preconceived notions. 🧵

[LilyIsTired👮📢 @SanaliteSapling]

Kyoko said this btw. So inspiring 😢😢😢

Warning artists!!🚨This AI user pretending to be an indie animator is trying to grift with some AI vibe-coded 3D program for money ‼️

Blender is completely free, with lots of free resources out there to start using it. Save your money!!

Those who got their access to Discord and Reddit restricted due to the CICC's action, go switch your DNS to any of these:

Google DNS:
8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4

Cloudflare DNS:
1.1.1.1 / 1.0.0.1

OpenDNS:
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220

After that, just restart your router/PC/app.

[Lilita🤍 《 Malkuth 》 @LunaAlphaLilita]

oomf reach out to me on discord if im doing okay
they told me

"you arent affected? check the news"

I fucking laugh so hard
anyway

anyone or my fellow oomfies who live in Philippines

just do this on your PC and your Phone
just change the DNS 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1

[Wumpus Central @WumpusCentral]

Discord users in the Philippines may have trouble connecting to the app.

This started after the CICC warned Discord and Reddit that they could face restrictions unless they appointed local representatives.

Both companies responded. CICC then extended the deadline.

Discord has not been officially banned nationwide. However, many Globe and DITO users report connection errors. This points to a block at the internet-provider level, most likely DNS filtering, not a full government shutdown.

What users report works for now: switch to Google DNS (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4) or Cloudflare DNS (1.1.1.1 / 1.0.0.1), then restart the app.

One last look inside Tippett Studio. The legendary f/x house is closing, and its models, props & precious artifacts are being sold off.

I spent a day inside the workshop, surrounded by Star Wars, RoboCop, Jurassic Park, and decades of handmade movie magic.

there's not a single good rip of this music video ANYWHERE atp, even the official releases on YT are interlaced to hell and look like they've been re-encoded a million times. i found the Spider-Man DVD today, and give you (most of) the Hero MV in the best quality you've ever seen
