MAGICAL Melghat TR - one of the first 9 Tiger Reserves of India to be notified in 1973, under Project Tiger.

Trivia - DYK earlier Tadoba was being considered as 1/9 TR. But dropped due to size considerations (<300 sq km).

Later in 1993 along with Andhari, Tadoba became a TR.
