Election Update

The Consortium of Civil Society Organisations for Good Governance and Constitutionalism says according to its Parallel Vote Tabulation (PVT) there was a difference of approx 2.6% in its observed PVT results and the results announced by the Electoral Commission of Zambia.

According to their PVT President Hichilema obtained 57.9% compared to the 60.5% announced by the ECZ.

The Consortium includes SACCORD, GEARS and ZCLU

High Courts in Zambia including in Lusaka, Ndola and other cities have today been closed to prevent opposition leader Brian Mundubile from filling a petition that declared Presidential victory to President Hakainde Hichilema. The opposition believes the election was rigged and so they want to file petitions in the courts. But this morning a directive was issued by Zambian authorities to close all High Courts until further notice!!!

If you choose to be silent because,maybe you love UPND, don't forget whatever the path we are taking as a country, the effects won't only affect those in OPPOSITION, they will affect everyone.

Don't choose silence because you love the PARTY IN POWER today. Remember what you remain quite about you validate to be right.

The closing of most courts today is not healthy.

To my christian brothers and sisters, remember your loyalty is to JESUS AND NOT MEN.

Someone may say " they are reaping what they sow", let me remind you brethren, BY DOING WHAT THE UPND IS DOING, which I know is another WRONG, they too are sowing wrong seeds, which I don't think they will be ready to reap from when their time is over.

FINALLY, HEAR THIS :

IN ZAMBIA IT'S BECOMING DIFFICULT TO STOP "POLITICAL WITCH HUNT" because when you feel, whoever becomes president should not look back, you realize those you feel should not be persecuted , have deliberately decided to commit crimes during their time and when they are out they will have to be hunted for their crimes....At that time it will look like political witch hunt when in reality not.

Iam not calling you to stand with the OPPOSITION but to stand with GOD'S TRUTH and defend the constitution of this Land.

Police shoot 1, nab 7 others in Kalikiliki operation

POLICE in Lusaka have shot and wounded a 26-year-old suspected ex-convict who allegedly charged at them with a machete during an operation targeting criminals linked to a series of break-ins in Kalikiliki and Mtendere East.

Former Permanent Secretary Mwamba Peni II has been arrested and detained at Lusaka's Ridgeway Police Post for simply participating in the drafting of a Presidential Petition.

According to a Police source, Mwamba Peni was engaged by an International Human Rights Organization that sees the Zambian elections as not being free and fair and wanted to file a petition.

" Mwamba Peni was contacted by this organization to work as a consultant but he was yesterday picked up and locked up" the source said.
