The problem? It gives people a reason NOT to work:

I think Judaism is stagnant because there are no accepted thinkers anymore willing to say anything new, but regurgitating thinkers from the past, maybe forming some kind of synthesis. We hope some thinker in the past will save Judaism. Ramchal is not going to save Judaism.
The problem in not believing holy men have special insights into mundane aspects of life is you are forced to actually make decisions for yourself.
By problem I mean benefit.
