Nothing screams “I accept I am now in my 30s” louder than admitting that the best part of your day was winning 50 bucks in a bet with your significant other over a dishwasher stacking argument in breaks in your WFH schedule
Sadly, I was unable to attend the strike march due to work commitments, but gee has it been an emotional day watching from afar.
Frankly, I’m shocked it has been allowed to get this far - even more shocked at the attempts to dissuade attendance by our leaders. #auspol@nswnma
Some of the funny and heartbreaking signs displayed at the NSW strike rally today
The first one pictured here made me cry… because I know if I were a nursing student at this time, I’d be asking the very same question
Yep, very much #notcoping.
Thank you to @mayetaclark for covering this so tastefully
@Dom_Perrottet - hope you have had a good read of this before the strike on Tuesday to think about what can be done to improve conditions
@nswnma
At work but I just wanted to reach out, I know a lot of you are concerned about family here in Tonga, thankfully we have no reported casualties. We have very limited contact with the outside world.
Fakalotolahi atu, 'oku fai e fetakinima mo e fetokoni'aki. 'Ofa atu.
Amy is now on Twitter - I don’t think she’s going to stop speaking out now that she’s not bound by a code of conduct that implores us to stay silent.
A huge loss for the workforce, but a win for justice and truth in the messaging of what’s happening on the frontline. #auspol
I’m sure a lot of people clocked this story last week - but people have not seen the outpouring of support and gratitude to @RNAmyEllenEve from other frontline nurses.
Many nurses have left but no one has spoken out in the same way that she has.
Thank you Amy for your courage
@ScottMorrisonMP@Dom_Perrottet A brave Sydney father has spoken out on IG about the neglect of non-COVID patients and made some excellent points.
Thank god his family survived this but it is terrifying for others who do not have these skills to act fast when ambos don’t show
A crying shame, and what too many of our Paramedics are facing
Tired, busting, no breaks. Knowing some people don’t have 46 minutes…
Yesterday I was sent this shortly after tweeting about Ethan’s near miss - this shows the defeat and distress from the other side. 😭
#auspol
The outlook of frontline nurses in Sydney (+ many other regions) is bleak at the moment.
Thank you to @kylieward and the ACN for releasing this statement at a time when nurses feel invisible, neglected and unheard.
People must hear how bad things are #notcoping#auspol
Nurses are at breaking point. They tell me they feel unheard and unsupported. The mental health & wellbeing of nurses is under immense pressure with no end in sight.
Today we are calling on the @ausgov to prioritise the mental health of all nurses.

This is nephew, Ethan. He was born unexpectedly and terrifyingly at home on Jan 2nd, struggling to breathe. My SIL had to perform CPR on him while my brother drove to the hospital as no ambulances were available. Any politician that says the health system is coping is a liar.
@dremilymoir Emily - Ethan’s story and that of your brother and SIL is one that needs to be heard. So much love to you all - thanks for sharing
I’m so glad he and Mum are safe
@Dom_Perrottet and @ScottMorrisonMP should be ashamed of themselves

I’m so grateful to them for coming forward with this story which shows the reality of the crisis we are in. @drkerrynphelps@Prof_NickTalley@CrabbBrendan
