I don't think antisemitism is enough to explain why individuals are tearing down hostage fliers of young Israeli infants, women, and the elderly being held hostage by Hamas in Gaza.
It is something deeper, far more nefarious.
It is the inherent need to view Jews as non-human; as insidious beings that need to be removed and eradicated. These fliers, showing the pure innocence of 9-month old babies and 15-year old girls are an uncomfortable visual reminder that we are part of the human experience.
Rape, torture, beheadings... all is far too inhumane to support or justify, unless you can envision the victims of those crimes as non-human. Then it becomes more tolerable, more rational, more justifiable.
The faces of our hostages remind them of our humanity.
They prefer to forget it.
Les wokes non-binaires à cheveux verts et roses qui défendent depuis hier un groupe terroriste qui n’hésiterait pas à les faire voltiger depuis des toits d’immeubles : vous n’avez ni honneur, ni dignité !
