"Last year I did four films in a row, and by the end I felt like I was tormenting myself a bit. The opportunities were incredible, so they were impossible to turn down—but it’s still a lot," says Isabel May.
Upcoming: Mr. Irrelevant (Dec 25), Karoshi, and The Last Mrs. Parrish.
"I’ve always been private, but staying off social media is an intentional choice. Social media makes me care about things I can’t control and that ultimately don’t matter. People will always have opinions. All I can really do is the work, be kind, and live my life."
-Isabel May
From Westerns to horror, Isabel May is "itching" to star in a good old-fashioned drama.
"Anything I haven't done, I want to do," she says. "Anything I haven't done in a while, I want to revisit, and just continue to seek out things that I'm definitely not the prototype for."
Isabel May told @USATODAY she was “barely getting by” filming Scream 7 after a stomach flu and sinus infection, and feared slowing down production.
When she couldn’t get out of bed, Neve Campbell stepped in, rearranged the schedule, and told her, “Don’t worry. I’ve got you.” 🥹

"What matters is the craft," Isabel May says.
"If you start to focus too much on the celebrity aspect, you'll find that you're slipping farther away from craft. So you always have to refocus your attention on work and artistry and doing those things well."

"Being a great actor is doing things that you connect to emotionally," says Isabel May.
"If you fight to get a role or if you fight to get a project made, if you really believe in something, and you’re able to do that, that is the success; that is the win."
