@JoshRaby its to avoid copyright detection , on tiktok especially you see videos like these in droves by bot accounts that use ai to guess whats happening on screen and give an ai-generated summary at 130% vol while the 8% vol voice is a play-by-play that is never aligned with the clip
@TheTunnelKing it was a feature with good intentions implemented terribly. ideally if aim assist worked as intended survivors would never get to "spin" killers as their camera would just correct itself, but instead we get whatever this is. not sure why it isnt a toggle of some sort by now
@ScottJund@HensDBD I'd argue it's similar to DbD in the sense that at lower ranks it is Hunter sided because they can have insane kits but at higher ranks players can pick Survivors with some equally insane kits that can also synergize with each other

• Chase looks the same (windows and pallets in tiles) but also is matchup dependent (does your survivor have stuns/mobility?)
• Survivors win/tie/lose as a team and hatch only matters in 5v5

• Survivors are unique "heroes" with abilities and cooldowns split into classes (Rescue, Chase, Repair, Assist)
• Hunters (Killers) have a wide variety of very unique powers that would seem busted in DbD
@EveUsername@GobaDev gimmick is just a blanket term to refer to a unique mechanic or aspect of the game that sets it apart from others. so the pogo mechanic in shovel knight would count because its a big set apart reason why people play, love, and recognize the game
@ScottJund i genuinely think long term this game won't go on much longer without split modes like this. i know "dbd is dying" is the mantra everyone says every update but tunneling is so polarizing for casuals that i feel like the only way to satisfy is to make a mode where its impossible
its so backwards that basekit unbreakable is an unlockable skill that you only get once you're on death cage? no killer would ever slug someone that they can just kill right then and there, it should just be basekit always in this mode
