Kano State House of Assembly has summoned Yusuf Bello-Aliyu of Nasarawa Constituency over a viral video allegedly showing him holding rabbit ears and making inappropriate comments for a lawmaker.
The matter was referred to the House Ethics Committee.
The uncouth and uncultured dishonorable should be dealt with.
President Bola Tinubu received in audience the Permanent Representative of Nigeria to UN, Ambassador Jimoh Ibrahim, after he presented the proposed $14 billion UN budget for 2027 to the President at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Tactical Team from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) successfully secured the release of a couple and their six-month-old daughter who had been abducted in Alrahus Estate, Millennium City, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Some people are using the kidnapping in Millennium City, Kaduna, to score cheap political points.
Itโs as if theyโre happy to see people kidnapped just so they can use it as evidence that the government isnโt working.
Human lives should never be reduced to political propaganda. Itโs sickening.
VIDEO: Ahmed Zakka, who was abducted in Millennium City, Kaduna, is appealing for help in a heartbreaking video. He is being held alongside his wife and their baby by bandits.
A whole family in captivity, including an innocent baby๐ญ
We hope the authorities and everyone who can help will do everything possible to secure their safe release.
While Tinubu is delivering a concrete road on the Mambilla Plateau after 65 years, Atiku is facing allegations of involvement in the corruption case linked to delays in the Mambilla hydropower project.
What makes this particularly sad is that Atiku comes from Adamawa, while Mambilla is in neighbouring Taraba, both once part of Gongola State. Yet it has taken Asiwaju, a man from Lagos, to deliver this long-awaited road. And now, as God would have it, the reported conclusion of the Sunrise case offers hope that the hydropower project can finally move forward.
What a shame. And what a man Asiwaju is!
DECLARATION OF SUPPORT FOR PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU
My name is Sani Buhari Waspapping , a Nigerian citizen from Kaduna State, and I hereby declare my support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Here are a few of my reasons:
Progress on security in Kaduna
As someone from Kaduna State, I know what we suffered from banditry, kidnappings and communal clashes, both within the metropolis and beyond. Farmers abandoned their land in Birnin Gwari, Giwa, Ikara and other communities. Travellers dreaded the KadunaโAbuja road, while attacks on trains deepened our fear.
Although these challenges have not been entirely resolved, we have witnessed significant progress in Birnin Gwari, along the KadunaโZariaโKano and KadunaโAbuja roads, and in parts of Southern Kaduna previously considered inaccessible. I commend our armed forces and security agencies, President Tinubu, his National Security Adviser, @NuhuRibadu, and the Kaduna State Government for their coordinated efforts towards restoring relative stability.
Continuity of critical infrastructure
The continuation of major projects, including the AbujaโKaduna road, the AKK Gas Pipeline, the AbujaโKadunaโKano railway and the KanoโMaradi railway, matters to me. These investments hold enormous potential for trade, transport, industrial growth and employment. My support is also a call to sustain the work and deliver these projects for the benefit of our people.
Student loans through NELFUND
I know families whose burden has eased because of access to NELFUND student loans. For households struggling with school fees, this support can make the difference between a child continuing their education and dropping out. Giving more young Nigerians the opportunity to study and build a future is a policy worth supporting and strengthening.
Fairness in power rotation
I believe we should respect Nigeriaโs unwritten understanding on power rotation between the North and the South. After President Buhariโs eight years, allowing the South the opportunity to complete eight years is fair and supports national cohesion. Alongside the other reasons I have outlined, this principle matters to me.
Confidence in a leader I trust
Personally, my leader, @Abdulrahmanleme has treated me with respect and empowered me in different ways. His support has made a difference in my life, and I trust their judgement in supporting President Tinubuโs re-election. That confidence reinforces my own assessment of the Presidentโs leadership.
Any one of these five reasons would be sufficient grounds for my support; together, they make my position clear. People support candidates for all sorts of reasons, including regional loyalty or claims about owning one wristwatch or never flying business class. I am entitled to base my choice on security, infrastructure, access to education, fairness and leadership I trust.
I recognise that challenges remain. My support comes with an expectation of further progress, greater accountability and the fulfilment of promises.
For these reasons, I support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in 2027.
