Was scrolling through Instagram & I ran across an ad for the new high top Converse design. The geologist in me couldn't help but associate the new slash/split style with Horst & Graben extensional normal faulting. I wonder if a geologist was involved in this design?

I've hit a major block in my thesis proposal.. I've gotta keep reminding myself to break it into small pieces little by little, and I need to make sure to give myself credit for the work that I've done so far✊ Journaling progress really does work
Does anybody know how employers create an internship opportunity? In all honesty, what's the difference between temporary contract work and an internship?🤔
Let's try again. I'm writing a paper for my Global Tectonics class debating whether hot spots get their heat sources form the D" or just from the upper mantle. Thoughts?

It's true. Every day I worked in a copper porphyry mine was a new and exciting adventure, especially in exploration! Mining really gets the geological gears going 🤓
If you like tectonics, structural geology, fieldwork and mineral deposits this exciting PhD project might be right up your street! Deadline is fast approaching (14th February)!! So if you're interested please don't hesitate to get in touch! 🌵🌞⚒
I have geologic maps that I'm using for my thesis that are in Greek. Does anybody know a way to translate them to English?😅 #geology#geologicmap#geology#geologyhelp
Context on how important these are to my thesis: my advisor and a Greek professor collected the structural and lithology data in the field years ago, and I'm using that data for the 3D model I'm going to create. Their data is based off the units and descriptions in these maps
I'm going to start tweeting again!
The tweets will be about geology, science, nature, and related topics as I'm finishing up my first year as a MS structural geology⛰ student at Alabama. Any suggestions for structural geology accounts I should follow? #geology
Cheers😃
People say “well what did people do before vaccines/antibiotics/pasteurisation?” as if that’s an argument for going natural.
They died, Carol. A lot of people died.
