Evet, bir uykunun daha sonuna geldik. Pardon uyku demişken, uyumadan önce kafanızdan geçen düşüncelerin rastlantı olmadığını, düşüncelerin anlamsızlıkla anlamlandığını anlamaya hoş geldiniz. İyi okumalar!!
Today, a tree the possums lived in was cut down. I saw one still clinging to it, but they kept going. Now a baby is wandering, scared. Its journey begins — not by choice.
Sometimes, we are just too cruel.
It feels like there are no more untouched pages left for me. In the silence of the night, I try to call out to myself. Oh, right — we had made Junior forget how to fly.
Time is competed by birds,
Life is quicker than cups,
Words are challenged by pencils,
Fingers are stronger than rocks.
-The night may walk with stars during our thoughts, so what are we doing? Counting them.
Sizler canlarım. Yollar gözüküyor. Günler azalıyor. Gözler açılıyor. Böyle mi devam edelim? Duralım. Bakalım. Yol alalım. Söze başlayalım. Yana kayalım. Aşka dalalım. Hadi o zaman yıldızları sayalım.
Bana Junior’ı anımsatan anların varlığı içimdeki duyguları ağaçların köklerine indirmektedir. Hikayenin içerisindekilerin şu andan bahsetme vakti gelmiştir. Karıştırdığım sayfaların arasında kendimi bulabilmem dileğiyle. “Duygu” yerini zamana bırakıyor. “Zaman”!
There may be hidden sentences within the pages; exploring them will add meaning to the words. How about taking a look at the pages to see that people from different worlds actually live in the same one?
One day, my family grabbed me and hurriedly pulled me away from the place we had been for a long time. With that pulling, I fell to the ground. Before I could even pick myself up, my mother gave me a solid slap. I was utterly stunned. How young was I? I don’t know. Perhaps, as time goes on, the things I think I remember are merely my own fabrications. I expected my mother to help me up, but instead, she slapped me hard again, saying, “I can’t take care of you if you can’t stand up on your own.” Should I have been upset about my clothes getting dirty or the pain I felt? Before I could even answer that question, I was dragged through puddles and taken to a field. I had to work. But, in truth, it was less about working and more about the bitter cries of a woman pouring her hatred towards life.
I always tried to support my mother in life, but unfortunately, she did me serious wrong. She sacrificed me to save herself. She even lied to me. Just like she had lied throughout her life, she fed me lies in the most beautiful years of my life, putting me in difficult situations. The reason behind all these struggles was that I didn’t want to associate myself with bad people. Where I come from, people have often sought to profit from the disabled. Especially with the rise of technology and chaotic urbanization, children in my country began to show behavioral problems. Sadly, some of these cases were severe, mimicking autistic behaviors. We often encounter situations where even the simplest perception seems blocked. But perception isn’t truly blocked—it exists. The issue lies in processing it.
Anyway, if the source of this information requires further investigation, I respect that and prefer not to elaborate further on my observations. Now, returning to the life of this child I’ve been talking about—why do I still mention him? It’s because I’m not yet at peace with him. Is there a need for further research? I’m not sure. Taking advantage of the opportunity in front of me is now in my hands. So, what should I say about what lies ahead? Don’t stop—run, don’t wait—celebrate. Words are empty, you are the delight there, lights are dim.
Tortiga, you don’t need to lower your head and hide among the rocks. I know you deserve a marvelous kiss of life right now. The beginning of your stories is still being written. What are we doing now? Blowing kisses, sharing our love, and getting up to dance together. Junior, let’s get you on stage too! Come on, start moving those wings. Montofon, the stage wouldn’t be complete without your hip shaking, but please be careful not to kick us with those legs! Sarı Kız, I’d say bring your whole family along, but I’m afraid you might make it too crowded. Tortiga, are you listening to me? Our dance begins now!
Should I speak out to those who cannot see the truth, to those who sneak around behind closed doors, or should I remain silent? I can’t decide. Am I exaggerating my experiences here, or is this truly a case of serious negligence? After all, I’m just a simple student, right? And you, who don’t even consider yourselves students anymore—since when have you deciphered the secrets of the universe?
Let me begin here: One morning, I woke up and intended to start a perfectly normal day. But before I could even explain the warning message I had received earlier, the truth was slammed into my face so hard that I could hardly breathe. You are nothing right now, they said. Just stay quiet and follow the rules.
And what were those rules? Were they the ones that neglect people? Marvelous rules you have—profiting off others and then holding back nothing when it comes to defending yourselves. Where have you been all these years? Perhaps it’s up to me, a nobody, to tell you how terribly wrong you are.
Or maybe I should speak of those who make life worse for others? Yes, money, you are a curse. Such a curse that you lead people astray. I’ve never had enough of you in my life, and maybe that’s why I have no worth. Right, the source of knowledge is also money.
Everything appears fine as long as these words keep flowing. Moving forward, you’ve taught me this: even if someone is about to die, I must say, Oh well, I have to go to work now; I’ve crossed the line.
Systems, you should exist to make things better. Yet I’ve seen hands dragging the same gray pipe in the wrong direction three or four times. Every time I think of why that happened, it breaks my heart. Perhaps heartbreak is all I’m destined for.
Or should I do this instead—make the sun shine on a cloudy day? Who am I but a fabricated creature born out of stories?
My existence here seems to be nothing more than being dropped into a place I never belonged to and then forced to struggle. Maybe where I belong is wherever I happen to be right now.
Tortiga sometimes utters such heavy sentences. But now, it’s time. Let’s rise and dance. The time has come to lift our heads out of the hole we’ve been stuck in.
Cold water touched my skin in a hurried moment. As if trying to silence the chaos in my mind, silent screams rose within me, alongside the quiet. Massive stones piled up around me. Silently, I curled into the corners. Dreams opened their arms at the rusty bedhead. Games were built with ants on the earthy ground. Messages were awaited from birds for centuries. Turtles turned into skateboards in my era. Rabbits were driven into production behind a tiny back door. Words flowed endlessly until milk was drawn from cows. You leave the race at such a young age.
What are we doing? We smile and greet. If that’s not enough, we take two steps forward, one step back—one step forward, two steps back—and join the rhythm of the dance. Come on, what are you waiting for? What’s stopping you from laughing and joining the dance? Now is exactly the time for it.
While pondering how to scribble more, I find myself once again at a train station, trying to answer someone’s question and missing the train. Now, when I look at the question asked, I see fragments of irresponsibility. On top of that, I received an important warning without preparing myself. As for the reason behind the warning, I was actually faced with a story that went no further than trying to help. Now, I start asking questions and find myself swept here and there by the wind’s gusts.
When it comes to what caught me, it is the fact that the full moon is excessively merciless. Perhaps I shouldn’t overthink and should just let it flow. To do this, I want to believe in the impact of actions, but during the process of carrying them out, I see that the focus points are always different. Now the time to face reality begins to reveal itself. Doing your best is not enough. Even if you try more, those who prefer to understand the value will continue to proceed according to their own values.
To be able to move forward in the story from this point, I find it useful to revisit the events. No, it can’t be! We cannot start everything from scratch. You’ve experienced this many times before, only to leave the pages unresolved. Those who see Junior in the first sentence may not have delved deeply enough to see what Junior expresses, to watch Montofon, to embrace Sarı Kız, or to liberate Tortiga.
Although I don't particularly enjoy talking about endings, I must say that some sentences need to find their meaning, and for a few days now, the pages of my book seem to have become jumbled. When I read them in their mixed state, the chaos within the thoughts showed me that erasing certain moments wasn’t so significant. Beyond being instantaneous and instructive, I prefer not to stay outside the realm of thoughts you hold dear. I don't believe that the events we experience always remain fresh.
I apologize if I’ve gotten caught up in the chaos between some of these thoughts. This disorder that interrupts my dance with words is something I can overcome. I hope you’ve observed that there’s nothing left from the story I’ve failed to convey. The content of the sentences might have overwhelmed you for a while, but sadly, it’s quite normal to encounter erratic sentences within the writing because I’ve attempted to inject too much evaluation into them.
Here’s the meaning of chaos—it can shed light on us once again. Today, I started my day with the sound of a jackhammer. Although my night was not very pleasant, let’s change the moments in the words. Is there any need for any of the characters who will occasionally appear here?
Forgetting and erasing are so simple, but of course, choosing the difficult path is the most painful. While collecting the laundry, there was a collision. Before I could understand what happened, I lowered my head and shut myself off again. Do you know what I had forgotten? I hadn’t spoken. I had forgotten how to speak.
Perhaps if I had inserted my voice between the events, I could have predicted the sounds from all the machines. Before they had to start working all together, I completed my task and distanced myself from the environment.
By the way, there’s no difference between yesterday and today. Welcome to my story. From this point forward, worries will give way to Montofon, for he lives in the same place as me. Nothing has changed. I am still the same. However, to be part of the transformation, I need to know if Tortiga is still alive. If he has also departed to eternity, I will need to hold an unbreakable branch in my hand from now on.
Yes, children, now standing before you is the “stick-wielding village wanderer.” Wait, this name doesn’t seem to fit me, does it? Should I move a little faster, or should I give up my stick before even starting the events?
As I wander among the words, I can’t extract myself from the truths. Maybe all my characters now see me as the villain. Now start counting and continue until you grow tired of it. Let me know the number you reach so I can reveal the count of my characters to you.
A mixture always brings us delicious meals; what’s in our heads doesn’t show the truths but rather what it desires.
Do you know what happened? Nothing remains of my books. It seems there won’t be much left of me either. It shouldn’t be this hard to distinguish between ranks. I apologize for not being able to offer you lavish pages filled with grandeur. But I wanted to make a small introduction to prepare you for what comes next.
In recent days, I’ve been flipping through my pages, just as my mind has been spinning in confusion. In moments like these, I can only tell myself that it’s normal. I’ve dedicated my idle moments to thinking. If you’re wondering how idle those moments might be, go ahead and dance.
Today, a woman said to me, “I love you, too.” I didn’t quite understand what she meant by “too.” Don’t lose yourself in what’s unnecessary. Showing love is nothing to shy away from. As long as you don’t lose your respect, you’re free to do anything.
But for now, I need to hide the pages where words will finally find their freedom. I’ve cut the story short, but as you read on, new stories will unfold for you. Each page may bring you a new burden or perhaps a relief you didn’t expect.
For now, I leave you with a part of myself. From me to you, my dear ones.
