It's actually insane how an organisation as rich and established as the fia seem unable to put on a decent award ceremony. Mute the mics and make sure people know what they are supposed to do before they go on stage. And please get rid of mbs. He's never not pissing me off
to all lando fans, itβs honestly been such a pleasure sharing this space with you during this chapter!! getting to know so many of you, celebrating the highs and getting through the lows together has made this whole journey even more special. from everyone reminding each other to still #BELIEV4 at -34 points, to the insane uproar that was in mexico when we were leading by +1 and finally the entire timeline going on timeout in abu dhabi until the final lap.
we manifested a little too loudly, got put back on timeout, tried to βmove in silenceβ and failed most times. but through all of it we believed - together. and now we get to say heβs a world champion. iβm so proud of him, and so grateful for all of you :) iβll see you very soon (depending on how long i can last with fomo, could be as early as christmas party hahah) but for now, keeping my promise and closing off after the championship β€οΈ
I'm just thinking about how many of these people at McLaren have watched Lando grow up, from a young test and reserve driver, to a full-time F1 driver, and today get to watch him walk down the boulevard as World Champion π₯Ήπ§‘
I could probably write an essay about yesterday and what it meant, or I could just write LANDO NORRIS WORLD CHAMPION and let the feelings hit again π§‘
Today doesn't feel real. I've been thinking about, imagining, what this day would feel like for so long. Today it happened and it's surreal but also beautiful and incredible. No one's wiping the smile off my face for quite a while, that's for sure β€οΈ
