In the book, laena, a white woman, is loved by both daemon and Rhaenyra. She is cast as a Black woman in the show and suddenly has no relationship with Rhaenyra and is made to be the resigned second choice wife of daemon forced to live apart from her family bc of his issues-
@enlightenserf To be honest they have all of the characters mourn one episode then move on like nothing happened then bring up the dead characters names like once and a blue moon if ever which has always been a problem with Hotd
Tanto o Ryan como a Sara são racistas. Vão falar que não pq eles "deixaram" fazer casting de personagens negros, mas o que adianta fazer isso se você descaracteriza esses personagens e tira plot deles pra dar pra personagens brancos? Começou no tratamento à Laena e agora +
They had the prettiest and most coquette Targaryen princess of her generation looking like a homeless dude and living in a cave because they refused to portray a black princess being praised for her beauty and being safe from war.
So Rhaenyra has to return Otto’s ring but Rhaenyra has not made a peeps about Aemma & Viserys’ rings (along with Viserys’ ENTIRE CORPSE) lol house of Hightower
Baela and Rhaena lost their mother, grandmother, and betrotheds and yet I still feel like the show never really gives them enough time to grieve or feel it the way it does for other characters 😭😭
Unpopular opinion: We were robbed of seeing them in bit more romantic stance. I'm not saying some torrid kiss or something, but an approach would have been nice
SO ALICENT GETS TO DEMAND PROPER TREATMENT FOR OTTO’S REMAINS BUT RHAENYRA DOESNT EVEN ASK IF HER FATHER WAS BURNT IN TARGARYEN TRADITION???? Ok ok sure ok yeah I get it. Nevermind his body was left to rot in the book ok sure ok
