Flew 7212km to experience The Odyssey IMAX 70mm in BFI IMAX London.

So much to process. If you wish to understand how 15/70 film looks like - it’s the sharpest projection I’ve ever seen. It’s so NATURAL. As sharp as how you’d see yourself in the mirror. Every scene with Charlize and Matt Damon were tact sharp - incomparable with any DCP I’d seen. Colours too, few shades of blue and green I don’t think I’ve ever seen digitally.

Film projection exists outside the confines of pixels, bit-depth, compression.

Combine this with the GIANT GT auditorium, the 1.43:1 ratio which swallows your vertical FOV. That’s IMAX. That’s the promise. I get it now. Truly grateful to have been able to finally experience something I’ve been so passionate about
