It was a pleasure having the West Virginia University Men's American Football team visit us on campus this week. Our students were very excited to meet the team and we thank them for connecting with some members of our community during their short visit.

Their visit included them taking part in G8/G10 PE classes, making a fire in our outdoor learning environments, jump rope contest with G3 students, arm wrestling with a high school student and of course taking pictures and selfies with our students.

As a member school of ISTA (The International Schools Theatre Association), every few years ISD hosts a theatre festival here on campus. This year, we were lucky enough to host an upper primary, lower middle school with the theme “Tuning into what is true and what is false.”

Students were able to connect and collaborate with other young people from different parts of the world and work with experienced professional international theatre artists. Together, they developed new skills by creating a piece of theatre collaboratively.

With the support of Association of German International Schools and the ADHD Foundation UK, we were able to host a fantastic 2-day conference on Early Years. We focused on how our practice can be more inclusive to ensure that every child can thrive and learn.
