Deeply devastated by the tragic news from the Gulf of Oman. Three innocent Indian civilian seafarers โ Patnala Suresh, Shivanand Chaurasiya, and Aditya Sharma โ have lost their lives following a targeted US precision military strike on the commercial oil tanker, M/T Settebello.
These men were not combatants. They were civilian mariners doing their jobs, caught in the crossfire of a geopolitical standoff.
I strongly support the Government of India's swift and firm response in calling out this unacceptable overreach. By summoning the US Chargรฉ d'Affaires to lodge a strong protest and forcefully raising the matter at the United Nations, New Delhi has made it clear that Indian lives are not acceptable โcollateral damageโ.
While the US enforces its maritime blockade, it must cease and desist from targeting commercial civilian infrastructure and crews. A military strike on an engine room, knowing civilians are on board, is unjustifiable.
Global maritime forces have plenty of non-lethal methods to intercept, redirect, or board non-compliant vessels. Resorting to missile strikes that kill civilian crews must stop immediately. Freedom of navigation must apply to the safety of the sailors who power global trade. I hope india firmly demands this of its US interlocutors since practically every ship in those waters carries Indian crew.
Our deepest prayers are with the bereaved families. We stand with you. ๐๏ธ เคถเคพเคเคคเคฟ!

The killers were convicted. Sentenced to life imprisonment.

Some men die because they refused to look the other way.
India forgets them too quickly.
Dear @ICC,
We wish to take this opportunity to thank you for the recent T20 World Cup, a global cricketing spectacle on a scale unlike any other in past years. It was so good that several nations decided not to leave upon their tournament exit, and it appears they might never do so.
As for us, the tournament brought drama and infamy. We staked our claim to replace the forfeiting Pakistan, then realised the harsh economic and logistical realities of international sport. Colombo is not Reykjavรญk, in so many ways. Then we had the unforfeiture of Pakistan, an event that actually vindicated our 'stay-at-home, fire it out online' strategy. They knew their plan and played it like a fish.
Let's not forget the actual cricket. The associate nations nearly caused several shocks - both Nepal, Netherlands, and Italy all coming within a whisker of a win over the big boys. Then there was the classic match between Afghanistan and South Africa, which was so good they did the Super Over twice.
At the end of the day, it was India's tournament to host and they delivered, blasting more than 500 runs across the semis and final. They brought the fire. We watched and tried to learn, but lava bedded wickets are not quite the same. Conquering Iceland remains the ultimate litmus test of a batter.
We count the statistics and arrive at an aggregate count of 245 posts by us on X and 3,420 loaves of bread baked by our captain, Dushan Bandara, across the tournament as a whole. Our Chairman, a ship captain, steered all voyages safely into harbour.
And finally, the world famous รslensk Premier League (รPL) is now only two months away, the T20 franchise tournament with a sub-Arctic twist. We wait patiently and keep our keyboards warm.
Yours sincerely,
Icelandic Cricket Association

The Kashmir willows have been a part of many championsโ kits. To see Jammu & Kashmirโs journey from being an enabler of champions, to becoming champions themselves, is beautiful.
The season was built on consistency, resilience, and season-long excellence. Auqib Nabiโs impact with the ball stood out in a demanding campaign.
A historic moment for the team, coaches, and support staff. Journeys like these define the beauty of domestic cricket.
Congratulations to the Jammu and Kashmir team for their first ever Ranji Trophy win! This historic triumph reflects remarkable grit, discipline and passion of the team. It is a proud moment for the people of Jammu and Kashmir and it highlights the growing sporting passion and talent there. May this feat inspire many young athletes to dream big and play more.
Talibans have legalised wife beating but with out any bone fracture. If a wife goes to her parent place with out the husbandโs permission , she will be jailed for three months . I beseech the Mufties and mullas
Of India to condemn it unconditionally because it all is being done in the name of their religion
Dear @ICC,
It is with a heavy heart that we now announce our unavailability to replace Pakistan in the upcoming T20 World Cup. Regardless of whether they now withdraw, the short timescales ensure it is impossible for our squad to prepare in the professional manner necessary to compete effectively in this global cricketing spectacle. We are not like Scotland and able to turn up on a whim, with no kit sponsor.
Our players are from all walks of life and cannot simply drop their occupations to fly halfway around the world to experience temperatures only normally felt in Finnish saunas. Our captain, a professional baker, needs to attend to his oven, our ship captain needs to steer his vessel, and our bankers need to go bankrupt (again). This is the harsh reality of cricket at the amateur level of the game.
This news will be extremely disappointing to our fans. Despite being the most peaceful nation on Earth, we maintain an army of online followers, and are the world's 14th most followed national board on X. We were ready to give the Dutch the biggest shock they have experienced since William of Orange lost the Battle of Landen in 1693. And the Americans were looking forward to taking on Greenland, or so their orange-dyed leader thought.
Our loss is likely Uganda's gain. We wish them well. Their kits cannot be missed unless you have epilepsy, in which case they are probably best avoided.
The future is always ice, until it isn't.
Yours sincerely,
Icelandic Cricket Association
