Anemia: don’t just think MCV

Try a functional lens:

🔹 Dilutional
🔹 ↓ Production (e.g., marrow failure, ↓ EPO)
🔹 ↑ Destruction (e.g., hemolysis, IE)
🔹 Loss (e.g., bleeding)
🔹 Hypersplenism?

Feels more like thrombocytopenia’s framework, & more mechanistic.
