Insightful three sessions were conducted to uncover the ways to enhance factory worker accommodation – Understanding of State’s initiatives; Analysing Regulations, reforms, and operating models by Government and Harnessing the potentials of PPP.
India's economic growth hinges on supporting our workforce. At the National Workshop on SAFE accommodation, we have explored how better accommodation can uplift 27.3 million workers in manufacturing.

Electronics sector is to create employment for an estimated 5.5 million to 6 million people, significantly boosting job opportunities across the country.

A landmark report of #NITIAayog titled “Electronics: Powering India’s Participation in Global Value Chains” was released today by VC #NITIAayog, Shri @suman_bery; Member, Dr. @DrVKSaraswat49, CEO, Shri BVR Subrahmanyam. It outlines a roadmap for India to become a global manufacturing hub in electronics sector.
The report highlights the significance of the electronics sector in Global Value Chains (GVCs), accounting for 80% of electronics exports. India's electronics sector has shown impressive export performance, contributing 5.32% to total merchandise exports in FY 2023. The report will provide a comprehensive strategy for India to enhance its GVC participation, leveraging its competitive edge in electronics manufacturing.
This milestone aligns with India's vision of Viksit Bharat, where the manufacturing sector plays a vital role in driving economic growth and self-reliance.
