#DYK December 3 is International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
Today and every day, let’s make sure every child is seen, counted and included... whoever she is, wherever he lives.
Today marks 3 years since girls have not been allowed to return to secondary school in Afghanistan.

You can take the girl out of Liverpool, but you can’t take Liverpool out of the girl! Great to have a kick around outside a Child Friendly Space at a health centre in eastern #Afghanistan. These spaces offer a safe & happy place for children whose family members are being treated

What's incredible about these centres is that when they are closed during winter, the teachers spend their time studying inclusive early childhood care & development, supported by @UNICEFBhutan.

Here’s to children learning new skills! 💙
I recently met Sonam at a health centre in Thimphu, Bhutan.
He proudly held up his vaccination card as soon as his mother, Chimi, fished it out of her handbag. 😁
#WorldImmunizationWeek
9-month-old Sonam is amongst the 99.6% children that Bhutan vaccinated last year.
The country is proof that it is #HumanlyPossible to reach every child with life-saving vaccines.

Nepal didn't always have amongst the highest coverage levels globally for pregnant women taking iron & folic acid supplements. Today, it does.
It was made possible when the government engaged over 50,000 Female Community Health Volunteers to counsel pregnant women about them!
While #COP27 saw some explicit climate decisions, we are counting on much more.
All countries need to protect young people like Ishfau, for whom the #ClimateCrisis is sea of uncertainties threatening to wipe off entire islands, including her own. @ishtupa
