Boiled eggs are perhaps one of the simplest and most practical additions to school midday meal programs.
✔ Minimal logistical challenges
✔ Easy to store, cook, and distribute
✔ Can be served separately without disrupting existing meal structures
✔ Vegetarian alternatives can continue to be offered alongside
But beyond logistics, the real issue at hand is nutrition.
A large number of children who depend on midday meals come from economically disadvantaged households, where access to adequate protein is often limited. India continues to grapple with widespread malnutrition and protein deficiency, which directly impacts children's physical growth, cognitive development, and overall well-being.
In this context, eggs offer a highly affordable, nutrient-dense solution. They are rich in high-quality protein, essential vitamins, and minerals that are crucial during a child’s formative years. Introducing eggs into midday meals could significantly improve nutritional outcomes and support better learning and health.
This is not a question of ideology or personal preference. It is about prioritizing children's health and future. The real question we must ask is whether we are willing to place children's nutritional needs above political debates and cultural sensitivities.

@neelang_dave My question is: how will these goats become immortal? And will she take the goats away every time? And the tigers and lions there - do they eat leaves and plants? She could take street dogs too, right?
