What impact does being a lawyer have on your mental wellbeing? What are law firms doing to help their employees? What can bars and law societies be doing to assist their members? How can we work together to improve mental wellbeing in the legal profession across the world?
Enugu’s creative community came together at Creatives Corner, a platform dedicated to fostering talent, innovation, and enterprise within Nigeria’s growing creative economy.
Platforms like this are vital to the development of the industry, creating opportunities for mentorship, collaboration, skills development, and market access. The Ministry remains committed to supporting initiatives that empower creatives and strengthen the ecosystem that allows talent to thrive.

59% of Nigeria's fashion workforce is female. Fashion is also the largest employer in the entire creative economy. That means the sector that employs the most Nigerians in the creative industries is majority female. When we invest in fashion infrastructure, we are investing principally in women's economic participation. That is a policy choice I make deliberately.

. @EdUSANigeria recently hosted a two-day counselor workshop at Window on America Jos, equipping 25 counselors and teachers with tools to guide students toward U.S. higher education opportunities outside of the United States and online.
The program highlighted American excellence, innovation, and the global competitiveness of U.S. universities while advancing America First priorities by expanding U.S. education collaborations, promoting U.S. education exports, and strengthening economic opportunities and commercial engagement between the United States and Nigeria.

Reflecting on a remarkable time in Washington, D.C. at the @ABAesq Annual Conference 2026. Beyond the formal sessions, it was the exchange of ideas, global perspectives, and meaningful connections that stood out most. Grateful to engage in conversations shaping the future of international law, governance, ESG, refugee protection, and wellbeing in the legal profession.
People who cheat on their spouses are more likely to cheat at work, too.
Evidence: Marital infidelity predicts 2-3x greater odds of professional misconduct among CEOs, financial advisors, and police officers.
Integrity is not a 9-5 job. Character counts in every part of life.

Global trade is being reshaped in real time.
At the @IBAevents conference in Munich, discussions moved beyond theory into the hard realities of volatility, sanctions risk, supply chain fragility, and contract resilience.
One message stood out clearly: legal frameworks must now be as adaptive as the markets they govern.

Chargé d'Affaires Heffern congratulated @taiwoyedele@FinMinNigeria on his recent appointment and committed to advancing our bilateral economic partnership.
At 1 a.m. this morning, I boarded my flight back to Brussels (and skipped Yerevan Dialogue). Two opposite gates, as you can see in the photo - a fitting image for the many contrasts that marked these past days.
At the airport, several journalists recognised me, and we ended up exchanging impressions on the European Political Community Summit. I had to admit that I had not followed it in real time. Shame on me.
Being on the ground, working, and engaging directly with people left little room to track every leaders’ declarations as it happened.
That said, our conversations only confirmed what I had already outlined in the article I sent to the Brussels Institute for Geopolitics on 1 May: the analysis had anticipated the summit’s central priorities with considerable accuracy.
Travelling and exchanging views alongside diplomats only further reinforced those conclusions.
Thank you for reading my article.

All visa applicants, no matter the visa type and where they are located, are continuously vetted. Security vetting runs from the time of each application, through adjudication of the visa, and afterwards during the validity period of every issued visa, to ensure the individual remains eligible to travel to the United States.
