BC Court of Appeal has allowed the appeal of @CanadianGreens deputy leader (& NWT candidate) Rainbow Eyes, reducing 60-day jail sentence from #FairyCreek to 51 days. The reduced sentence still fails to balance Gladue principles, so we’ve appealed to the Supreme Court of Canada.

@redpoint511a We knew going in that it would be an uphill battle, based on prior decisions of the lower court. We’re focused on advancing the arguments at the Court of Appeal. Saw-ses has served no time in jail, and we will be advocating to keep it that way.
