Sweet song filling the gaps between branches, connecting those that once were to those who are. The complexity of the branches, crossing, some reaching out to the sun, some to the ground. Does anyone appreciate this but the blackbird? Connected. The veil between chaos and peace.

Windowsill daffodils, they tumbled through the door, into the house that was theirs, dropping bags on the floor. Wine bottled rolled, hit the foot of the stairs, lights on, record playing, a world with no cares.
