@lawlornfl Tommy Ive been following you for ...gosh I want to say close to 15 years. Im sorry to hear about your situation. Im sending you strength and positive energy and wish you the best of luck! Keep fighting , man!
@WIP_Sucks@JohnBarchard Fundamental problem with eagles last year was that they used 12p runs with 1 TE who blocked below his ability and TE#2 was incapable blocker. But this goes back to coaching , if you expect a fish crawl up the tree, it will always fail.
@JohnBarchard Id disagree actually wrt Chip at least. Chip was widezone, outsidezone guy . Definitely gap schemes have carried over across 3 HCs, but to be fair most of NFL runs the same gap schemes. It is how the details are taught, that makes a difference.
@JohnBarchard But isnt this just an assumption? A lot of run game in NFL rooted in the same concepts. Of course the devil is in the detail on teaching IZ,OZ, WZ. I cant imagine a guy with Stout's experience refusing to run different variations of the same concepts
@RealThomasMott I dont think it is his 2026 resolution, it has been his persona since he joined WIP. His whole persona is now being a contrarian. And it works, because we either think he is a complete idiot or very smart, either way we talk about him and his pisspoor content.
@rich_hofmann From a guy all the way from Denmark, I hope you will continue to do podcasting. I enjoyed listening to you. You balance so well the irrational crazy fan and an analytical thoughtful fan.๐ It is a rare balance to hit and I appreciate you for that. Thank you for being you!
@JohnBarchard He was a redshirt scout team QB the season I was a young and dumb volunteer coach at Oregon St. Who would've thought I was looking at future Eagles OC back then๐
@JohnBarchard Agreed. But if he said no to motion for the motion's sake like it was last year then I get him tbh. I just dont imagine that he refuses to adapt. But it depends on who is "selling" it to him, I think. It is coach's job to simplify complexity, to deliver the message correctly.
@JohnBarchard Ah makes sense, Ive listened to his pod yesterday. I feel like this also underlined some of the stuff that was written post 2023 season. Howie is a Nick guy, Lurie is sceptical. Idk about Jalen. I personally am a Jalen guy, but I have a feeling that he does need the right coach.
@RealMamaEagle And also, I thought all we do here is exchanging our subjective opinions.๐ Including some of reporters who try to sell ther subjective opinions as facts. And obviously, like most of people you interract with here, I have nothing to do with Eagles lockerroom.
@RealMamaEagle One of CEO's key tasks is the strategic alignment for individual BUs. Given Offense's failures, it is a fair claim that he is failing as a CEO. Hence why I mentioned specifically CPO and COO role, because I fully agree with you that his people skills are undervalued by fans
