BREAKING: #Somaliland President of #Somaliland Abdirahman M Abdillahi "Irro" has appointed Dr. Mohamed Omar Haji Mahmoud as the Republic's first Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to #Israel.

Dr. Mohamed Haji previously served as Somaliland's Representative to #Taiwan.

Israel has yet to appoint an ambassador to Somaliland in return, though a reciprocal appointment is expected soon.

Meanwhile, media reports indicate President Abdirahman M Abdillahi "Irro" is set to visit Israel in late March — a trip that could further cement the historic ties between the two nations.
