A few shots captured during our engagement with students at Harvard University's Center for African Studies, sharing our perspective on the enduring struggle for good governance in, especially, post-colonial Africa.
This morning, a team of @NUP_Ug lawyers and leaders tried to access our home in Magere. They were blocked by police and military operatives who have kept my home under siege since they raided it a month ago. They violently arrested one of our lawyers, Kakuru Tumusiime, and brutalised him. After several hours, they dumped him at a police station where he was interrogated about my whereabouts before being released on bond. They've charged him with 'common nuisance'. All this criminality taking place on a day our nation is commemorating Bishop Janani Luwum Day. UGANDA WILL BE FREE.

UGANDA |๐บ๐ฌ๐ช๐บThe European Parliament has called Ugandaโs election what it was: a military operation to crush the only credible opposition. Security forces were used not to protect voters, but to intimidate, kill, detain, torture, and silence political opponents.
Statements are no longer enough. The EU, its Member States, and allied democracies must move to consequences โ identifying and acting against those responsible, from commanders to political enablers.
Targeted sanctions, visa bans, asset freezes, suspension of security cooperation, and a review of aid that sustains repression must follow.
By this point, the U.S, the UK, and the EU must understand that repeated failure to act is steering the region toward deeper instability, normalized violence, and the erosion of democratic and regional security norms โ with consequences far beyond Uganda.

While the criminal regime continues to haunt my family and hunt me down, I took off time to read this very insightful book. Above all, it exposes Museveni for who he is and the damage he has done to our country, despite having come with the promise to break away from the past.
As Prof. Mamdani notes in this book, โThe Museveni era has corroded the morals of an entire generation, and there is unlikely to be an easy solution to the problem. A pervasive corruption and cynicism cloud the country like a fog. It will take no less than a generation for the country to come out of it."
A depressing account it is. We have work cut out for us. We refuse to give up or give in. UGANDA WILL BE FREE.

With such videos you get to understand why the person that purportedly got 71% votes is tormenting one with 24% votes. They know what they did and they know Ugandans don't want them anymore. They NOW have to Rule by Force.
A group of masked, armed soldiers has just broken into our house and beat up my family members. They have currently isolated my wife, Barbie Kyagulanyi, alone. Their intentions are unclear!
Last night as Museveniโs son was making these threats to kill me and gloating over killing 22 of our supporters (in reality, he has killed over 100 since last week), the military who are stationed inside our compound yet again banged my house doors as they sang profanities, ordering the occupants to come out of the house if they're men. The people at my home say the criminals seemed to be drunk.
We demand that the military vacate our home immediately. My wife and people are not safe. They're starving after these criminals blocked food from reaching them. They cut the padlocks of our gates and replaced them with chains. FREE UGANDA NOW.
๐จUPDATE: Vibrant tiktoker Luwi Light has been abducted by state thugs.
The state approached various tiktokers with huge following with the aim of buying them off in order to you use their platforms to campaign for the dictator.
Luwi Light is one of the few tiktokers who refused this nonsense.
Luwi Light is a mother to someone and a wife to someone and also someone's daughter.
The culture of abducting citizens is unpalatable and deserves indictment by all Ugandans of good will.
Luwi Light joins a long list of Ugandans who have been abducted due to their political beliefs.
