Here's a bit of advice, arresting and deporting poor expats who had been trafficked is not the solution to stop trafficking of expat workers, on the contrary, it's aiding traffickers directly by giving them the opportunity to traffic more workers.
Let me explain.
Many people make fake companies and acquire many quota slots, bringing in workers, taking between $1,500 to $2,000 from each person. When they arrive, there's no job, they arrive on tourist visa, they are told visa will be changed to work visa, we are talking about people who can't read or write. They are innocent people who had mortgaged their homes to get this $1,500 in order to get jobs so they can recover this money and get a 5 year contract.
These poor trafficked people are being arrested like criminals and deported. The traffickers who are Maldivians and state officials are never arrested.
It's like when a person is raped, the victim is punished, same thing.
To stop this, you have to cut the head of the dragon.
Unless we put ourselves in their shoes, we wouldn't understand. We demonize others without thinking.
A party leader is not God, dont treat your leaders like a god. They are humans, and not everything they say or do are right.

To be a good Muslim, you have to be a good person first.
