Yesterday, I reaffirmed my administration’s strong commitment to protecting public health, strengthening education and promoting innovation in Osun State while receiving delegations from NAFDAC and Living Spring College of Technology and Innovation at the Government House, Osogbo.

I assured NAFDAC of our continued support in the fight against fake drugs and substandard products, describing the menace as a serious threat to lives and public safety. I urged residents to act as whistleblowers by reporting offenders, while also assuring the agency that its request for deeper security collaboration will be carefully considered.

I also commended Living Spring College for its impressive contributions to skills acquisition, artificial intelligence and youth empowerment, particularly its offer to train 1,000 beneficiaries and build capacity for civil servants. I welcomed the proposal for a new university in Osun and reaffirmed my belief in partnerships that drive innovation, peace and sustainable development for our people.

The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, has felicitated with the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, on the joyful occasion of his 51st birthday, describing the revered monarch as a beacon of peace, cultural rebirth, and national inspiration.

Governor Adeleke lauded the enduring legacy of the Arole Oduduwa, whose reign has become synonymous with transformational traditional leadership, youth empowerment, and cultural diplomacy. He praised the monarch’s tireless commitment to advancing development within Ile-Ife and promoting harmony among diverse peoples and faiths.

“It gives me immense pleasure to celebrate our royal father, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, on the occasion of his 51st birthday. Kabiyesi’s life and reign continue to exemplify vision, courage, and compassion, attributes that define great leaders and enduring legacies,” Governor Adeleke stated in his congratulatory message.

He noted that under the Ooni’s dynamic leadership, Ile-Ife has witnessed renewed social and economic vitality, while the Yoruba cultural identity has gained global recognition and respect through the monarch’s innovative outreach and bridge-building initiatives.

“Kabiyesi has continued to project the glory of Yoruba culture and tradition on the world stage, advancing values of peace, unity, and progress. His consistent advocacy for youth inclusion and community development reflects a deep understanding of leadership as service to humanity,” the Governor added.

Governor Adeleke extolled the Ooni’s pivotal role as the Chairman of the Osun State Council of Traditional Rulers, commending his unrelenting efforts in fostering collaboration among royal fathers and strengthening traditional institutions across the state and beyond.

“As Kabiyesi marks this new age in good health and divine favour, I pray to Almighty God and Eledumare to continue to grant him wisdom, long life, and renewed strength to guide his people and contribute to the prosperity of Osun State and Nigeria,” Governor Adeleke concluded.
