Youth in Bugiri District are stepping up as peacebuilders.

AMYU completed a Training of Trainers (ToT) equipping young leaders with skills in preventing violent extremism, interfaith dialogue, and civic engagement. These youth will now train and inspire others in their communities.

Last week, we had the opportunity to update Hon. @SamEngola3, Minister for Relief, Disaster Preparedness and Refugees, on the progress of our Village of Hope Project in Kiryandongo District.

We’re developing an integrated facility that will include shelter homes, a maternal health clinic, a vocational training centre, food storage, a community kitchen, water supply, a community centre, and a sports ground.

The goal is to serve both refugees and vulnerable host communities with dignity and real opportunity for growth and resilience.

We are grateful for the Minister’s time, guidance, and continued support as we lay the foundations for lasting hope for refugees and host communities. #AMYUServes
