Verifiability is imo the most underrated property of truly public blockchain networks.

On Ethereum, you can permissionlessly run a small machine and convince yourself that billions/trillions of dollars of transaction value (payment, swaps, credit etc) were settled according to committed rules. Not only for L1 but also for L2s.

It’s the ultimate security backstop, and it gives the Ethereum network a herd immunity and “eyes on the street” that are hard to beat in the class of fully programmable environments.

Deutsche Bank is adding ethereum:native to its new institutional custody service, alongside Bitcoin and selected stablecoins.

Launching in Germany later this year, pending regulatory approvals.

BlackRock's iShares and Franklin Templeton manage more than $13T combined, and both already have tokenized funds live on Ethereum; BUIDL and BENJI.

So the question isn't whether global institutions will use Ethereum. They already do. The question is how.

And the person asking is an equity derivatives market maker at KB Securities, someone who has to actually price and hedge these products, not just discuss them.

Korea has no spot crypto ETF yet and our STO framework lands in 2027. This is exactly the conversation we need now.

We're announcing the relaunch of the Ethereum Institutional Forum: a curated, closed-door event series for senior institutional participants and leading voices from across the Ethereum ecosystem.

We started the Forum while at the @ethereumfndn, with editions in Hong Kong and New York. It now returns as a dedicated series under @ethereuminsti.

The premise is unchanged: a credible, neutral environment to understand where Ethereum is heading technically, and what that means commercially.

The next few years will shape the infrastructure of global finance. Institutions will need to decide where to issue, settle, custody and build. Those decisions are better made in a room with the people building and advancing the ecosystem.

EIF III takes place in London on 12 November, bringing together banks, asset managers, market infrastructures, and Ethereum leaders including @drakefjustin.

Themes will include Ethereum's technical roadmap, post-quantum security, native issuance, and Ethereum's role as infrastructure for onchain finance.

We started the Forum while at the Ethereum Foundation because we believed institutional adoption would be accelerated by more direct dialogue between institutions and the people building Ethereum, on Ethereum, and across its wider ecosystem. That remains true today.

The EIF is intended to create a trusted, neutral environment for candid conversations about Ethereum’s technical direction and what it means commercially - from issuance and settlement to capital markets and the infrastructure for onchain finance.
